    Chemistry Scholars Application 2021

    Applications for new incoming students for the Fall 2021 semester are due by January 15, 2021.  

    Complete the fields below to apply for the Chemistry Scholars scholarship program.  Scholarship applicants must be admitted to UNC Asheville with an intent to major in the Chemistry Department and must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
    Scholarship Information
    The Department of Chemistry at UNC Asheville has received a grant from the National Science Foundation to offer scholarships to B.S. and B.A. chemistry majors (including majors in pure chemistry, biochemistry, chemistry of the environment, and chemistry teacher licensure). A Chemistry Scholars financial scholarship combined with the Department of Chemistry's student-centered curriculum, undergraduate research opportunities, and state-of-the-art teaching and undergraduate research laboratories, will provide you with all of the tools to achieve a superior undergraduate education in chemistry. We encourage all students with an interest in majoring in chemistry at UNC Asheville to apply for a scholarship.

    1. Letter of Recommendation

    A letter of recommendation from a science or mathematics teacher is required.  Recommendation letters must be sent directly from the teacher to Dr. Sally Wasileski at:

    2. Submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

    The National Science Foundation scholarship guidelines dictate that financial need must be determined by the FAFSA.
