Student Intended Admission Information

As what type of student do you intend to apply to UNC Asheville?*

First-Year: Applicants who are either in high school at the time of applying or have not received college credit since graduating from high school.

Note: Students graduating from a North Carolina Early College with a completed Associate's Degree have the option to apply as either first-year or transfer.

Transfer: Applicants who have attended college after graduating from high school and seek enrollment in an undergraduate program OR North Carolina Early College Graduates who will earn an Associate's Degree prior to enrolling at UNC Asheville and choose to apply as a transfer student.

Post Baccalaureate: Applicants who already hold a baccalaureate degree from UNC Asheville or other accredited institutions (minimum 2.0 GPA) and wish to pursue a second baccalaureate degree.

Dual Enrollment: Students who are currently enrolled in a local area high school and are interested in applying to take a course at UNC Asheville while enrolled in high school. For more information click here.

Non-Degree: High school graduates who wish to take college courses but have no clear intention of obtaining a full bachelor's degree. For more information click here.

Note: Students who have been denied admission for reasons of academic deficiency, or previously enrolled students who have been dismissed, may not then be enrolled as non-degree students.
